Brokeback Mountain was really impressive, the story was really sad but it was so realistic, through the whole movie I didn't once find myself with that 'Yeah right.' type of feeling. The characters were easily identifiable and I found myself sympathizing with them in their decisions. It really left you thinking too, about the world and how people treat people. How we hurt each other emotionally, physically, sub-conciously, and intentionally. That despite our best efforts the people we try to protect the most can be the ones who inevitably end up in pain, even when that person is ourselves. All in all it was very universal in it's presentation but complex and rich with its content. When you think about the fact that situations like what happened in the movie did and do happen it really makes you wonder about our intentions and how we justify our actions.

If you thought it looked good and haven't had the chance, then see it. If you haven't really thought about it, see it. If you think that because it has been dubbed 'the gay cowboy movie' you'll be offended or disgusted, put your pride away and give it a chance.

Basically I was really impressed, it seems like an injustice that the movie has gotten the above mentioned lable, to call it that now would be to trivialize the film. It's just a love story.

Aside from that... I was really surprised by the number of old women there.

It was very very very very exciting! Ehehe, I'm still happy thinking about it. And it was cool, some of the packing was old ads so I have an ad for a restaurant, an ad for a sake shop, and one with furniature. It's cool and completely pointless but I'm a complete packrat and insane so the restaurant ad will be saved so I can put it on my wall.

MORE IMPORTANTLY I GOT MAH NEGIMA! WEEEEEEEE! It is lovely and I can even identify a few names and I remember way too much of the dialogue for my own good. BUT I AM HAPPY!

GAH! I'm so happy, happy happy happyhappyhappyHAPPY! I kept snuggling them,a nd they smell really nice, and it is really awesome. And you realize I can't shut up about this right?! RIGHT?!

Yeah, crazy it came on the Hiroshima anniversary... which there was small disagreement with my mom over the justification of. Nothing like we got angry over it, but she was making a few comments that I couldn't keep quiet about. She didn't say anything bad, just fucked up idealistic American logic that I'm sure she was conditioned to. And she agreeded mostly with what I said.

I suppose I've just grown with the ability to see things from multiple points of view. :)

Um, in other news... WE GOT A SCANNER! And a new printer! I'm going to hook them up to the other computer so this one doesn't corrupt them, hopefully it will work *crosses fingers*

This also means... I might FINALLY get to make the T-Shirts I've been wanting to create so bad! Gah! I swear today is trying to overwhelm me, if it works my head my very well explode.

We went to Maxwell Street Days again, I got more cds at that one stall (Seriously, it rocks!) and that was where we got the printer/scanner... I think the guy wanted $10 for both... awesome. So, I got Red Hot Chili Peppers - Californication, U2 - October (Don't kill me Ger >_<), and Blink 182 - Enema of the State (I can't find my old one v_v) The I grapped Porno for Pyros for my sister and my mom got a Doors Greatist Hits cd.
